The Curtis Group Expands National Consulting Team with Two Senior-Level Additions
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—The Curtis Group is pleased to announce the addition of Timothy McCue and Deborah Breen as senior consultants, further strengthening the firm’s experience in campaign planning, strategic fundraising counsel and organizational development.
Together, Timothy and Deborah bring more than five decades of combined experience spanning nonprofit leadership, foundation work, strategic planning, fundraising and organizational development. Their addition reflects The Curtis Group’s continued growth and expanding work throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region, Timothy McCue brings more than 25 years of experience across nonprofits, foundations and philanthropy. Prior to joining The Curtis Group, he served as Assistant Vice President at a national fundraising consulting firm and previously held leadership roles with the National Association of Counties, Potomac Health Foundation and William J. & Dorothy K. O’Neill Foundation. His experience as a nonprofit employee, foundation grantmaker, consultant and foundation board member brings a broad perspective to organizational growth and philanthropic strategy.
Deborah Breen joins the firm with nearly 30 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, including a distinguished career in healthcare philanthropy and organizational development. She previously served in senior leadership roles with Aspen Valley Health Foundation and Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation, where she led successful capital campaigns and helped build fundraising programs that advanced long-term organizational growth. Most recently, Deborah founded Sound Choice Consulting LLC, providing strategic planning and fundraising counsel to nonprofit organizations.
Timothy holds a Master of Public Health from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in English with Creative Writing from Hiram College. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and brings additional expertise in nonprofit financial management, strategic planning and organizational transparency.
