The Zen of Fundraising: Skills of Successful Fundraisers

What qualities do successful fundraisers possess? The multitude of relationships we build with donors and colleagues is based on a critical set of skills that go beyond technical or trade expertise. These skills, which I call pillars, are ones that successful fundraisers—indeed successful people—possess and continue to hone throughout their careers. Through quotes and a Zen filter, we will uncover key pillars of success.

Planned Giving and Campaigns: Case Studies and Lessons Learned

More than ever, nonprofits must be building their planned giving programs to establish a robust and diverse future income stream. One of the most successful ways to launch or build a planned giving program is through a major campaign.

During this virtual training session, Victoria Dietz will cover:

  • How to effectively test readiness when including planned giving in a campaign
  • Policies and procedures that should be in place
  • How to effectively market a planned giving goal
  • Identification of prospects and solicitation planning
  • Red flags during the solicitation process
  • Effective post-campaign stewardship

Join us as we explore these topics and share practical and applicable tips that will improve your planned giving cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and ultimately increase your organizations overall fundraising capacity.
