We want to acknowledge the passing this week of a true leader and gentleman, Judge Richard Bray. We’ve linked to his obituary for you to read of his many accomplishments which are, in themselves, inspiring.

He had an immeasurable impact on our clients, but Curtis Group Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Wendy McGrady would like to tell you about his impact on her life:
“Not only was Judge Bray a colleague, as Pres/CEO of the Beazley Foundation we worked with him for years; Richard was my friend, and such an encouragement in my life. His integrity, his love of his family and friends, and his intrinsic care and concern for his community were traits I admired in him from the beginning and try to embody today. Professionally and personally, he was such a cheerleader for me – always ready to provide sage advice or be a listening ear. More than anything, he affirmed my gifts, abilities, and experience – as a professional, as a mom, and as a person, and made me feel like I felt in college – like the world was my oyster and I could do anything I set my mind to. I treasured our conversations about spiritual journeys, purpose, current events, and why there weren’t women at his Christmas party!
I aspire to be the kind of friend you were to so many, Richard. I will raise a glass of Pinot Grigio and toast your long legacy in our lives. You are loved and you will be missed.”
-Wendy
