Norfolk, VA – June 10, 2019 – The 
Curtis Group welcomes Marissa Monell as newest client manager and member of their growing team.
Monell will be responsible for nonprofit campaign coordination and client relations for The Curtis Group’s clients throughout the eastern United States.
Prior to joining The Curtis Group, Monell served as the manager of development and external relations for the Virginia Air & Space Center. During her tenure, she had the opportunity to work on a transformational capital campaign, all while managing the day-to-day operations of a multi-faceted development operation. She brings experience with nonprofit consulting, event fundraising, prospect research and project management that she obtained during her time working with the American Alliance of Museums and Diana Duke Duncan, LLC.
Marissa holds a Master of Arts degree in museum studies from George Washington University, focused on museum management and leadership. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in nonprofit management during her time at George Washington University. Outside of work, Marissa enjoys tending to her indoor garden, traveling to new places, and spending time with her partner, Jake, and kitten, Charlie.
