The Curtis Group Welcomes Alissa Platz to Growing Consulting Team
Oct. 24, 2025 — The Curtis Group, a national leader in nonprofit fundraising consulting, is pleased to announce that Alissa Platz has joined the firm as an Associate Consultant. In this role, Platz partners with clients across the country on campaigns, assessments and planning studies, helping to strengthen donor engagement and implement effective fundraising strategies. She brings more than nine years of in-house development experience, including leadership in donor engagement, communications and stewardship.
Before joining The Curtis Group, Platz served as the inaugural Director of Donor Engagement at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center, where she launched initiatives that strengthened donor relationships and expanded community support. Her career also includes development roles at Conservation International and The NEA Foundation, where she advanced philanthropic partnerships in environmental sustainability and K–12 public education.

Platz holds a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University, where she received the Best Capstone Award, and a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish from American University. She serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals DC Chapter and on the board of directors for An Open Book Foundation.
