We value our ability to help nonprofits stay informed about the latest news and policy developments. Thursday, the Senate joined the House of Representatives in clearing a two-month extension of the PPP, which was set to expire on March 31. This legislation now goes to the President, who is expected to sign it.

Also, some updates and details were just released from the SBA that will impact arts and culture institutions. We want to be sure you take full advantage of all the opportunities to which you are eligible, so you come through this challenging time stronger than before! If you missed our last email, check out our blog for the highlights of how the American Rescue Plan Act impacts nonprofits.

Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program (aka Save our Stages Act)

  • Mark your calendars for April 8, 2021. The SBA will open the SVOG application portal.
  • Sign up for updates to stay up-to-date on eligibility and the application process
  • Participate in the SBA’s informational webinar to learn about the application process on March 30, 2021, 2:30 p.m. EDT
  • Don’t wait to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP); the program has about $79 billion available to distribute. Eligible nonprofits may apply for PPP while waiting to apply for a SVO grant.  The SBA would then reduce any SVOG award by the PPP amount received on or after 12/27/20.
These have been and continue to be challenging times. We are here for you. Please reach out with questions or to discuss how we can help you grow your fundraising success!
